Today, it’s about the Action that gets you the Money that gets you the Freedom.
Last post we talked about family, finances, and mindset. We talked about how action is an integral part of getting what you want, not just visualizing it. You want the great car, the great house, the great spouse, the great kids… but you’re not going to get that great stuff if you yourself are not great.
And what does greatness consist of? Endless visualizing and endless dreaming? No!
We live in the physical world. We are not made purely of mind. If we were, because thinking is a form of action, then we might have everything we dreamed really hard of. Thinking and visualizing is just a part of the equation. We do, after, have to know what we want to start heading toward it. By thinking it, we vibe with it, so to speak; we align ourselves with the energy of that which we think.
But to actually get to it, or to have it come to us, we need to take action. And not just any action, but focused, intentional action. You don’t want to just spin your wheels and burn your energy. For instance, if you wanted to be an architect you wouldn’t be taking any and every kind of class at college; you’d be taking classes that further your education of architecture and get you closer to your goal of being what you want to be.
So, you want to make a lot of money. You want a lot of freedom. What have you been looking at to accomplish this? Is there a particular field that draws you? Maybe, like me, you want to work on the Internet as a marketer, because it has so many perks.
Perks of Internet Marketing:
- Unlimited income
- Scalable income
- Passive income
- Work from home
- Your own hours
- Your own boss
But how can you guarantee success? This path is a more uncertain one than we have it in our minds that college is. But if you look at it, everything is uncertain.
Something like 90% of businesses fail within the first couple of years that they start.
Most people who graduate from college with a degree don’t use that degree
Considering just those two facts, of which there are many more, what do you think could reduce the risk of
Two answers come to mind for me:
- Lower startup costs.
What I’ve learned from everything I’ve seen, heard, and know, the startup costs of both Internet Marketing and Network Marketing are so much lower than brick and mortar that there’s practically no risk to beginning one of these ventures. However, I don’t recommend Network Marketing because it’s main business model is recruiting people, plus you tend to feel all scuzzy by trying to sell to friends and family, which is what the leaders of these companies tell you to do.
In just the last few weeks I’ve learned a whole heck of a lot about Internet marketing for local businesses from PropertiesProperty.com, and I’ve since partnered up with these guys. They’re so helpful! What I’ve found is that doing marketing for local businesses is the opposite of scuzzy. It’s something you can feel proud of, because you’re really helping people in the world. You’re actually helping businesses prosper.
The guys at Properties Property lay out a guide for how to market online for local businesses. So if you check them out and follow them, they’ll give you specific actions you can take so you’re not just going after every shiny thing or taking classes just to take them. Rather, you’re on a very directed path, that’s paint-by-numbers, to get to where you want to go: freedom, money, success.
Anyway, this post is supposed to be about taking action to make money. I’ll get more into the philosophy of this and actual actions you take in another post, but the moral of the story is:
Get off your butt, stop dreaming toward your goals and start DOING toward your goals in a directed manner.
I hope this helps you to get moving. And if it doesn’t, don’t just sit there, shoot me a comment!
Thanks, see you next time.
